ME-as I go through this zany, marvelous, difficult experience called: "LIFE"!

            Terry’s 60th Surprise  Birthday Party            On Sunday, July 29 th , family and friends gathered together for a party for my sister, Terry, to help her celebrate her 60 th Birthday. I feel that my sister needed a party for her 60 th Birthday to distract her from what’s been happening in her life in recent years. As you remember, Terry’s husband, Pat, passed away from cancer last year. Terry and 2 of her children had to leave the house that they had been living in for many years. This party, I feel, was meant to happen for my sister. As Terry entered into the doors where the party was held, looks of surprise, bewilderment, and shock was visible on her face. Terry also felt loved, comradery with family and friends and humbled by this event. Earlier that week, I surrendered the planning of Terry’s 60 th Birthday Party, and the party itself, to God. Evelyn Prayer For The Day

My sister, Roseanna, visited me a few days ago. (I always love it when family visits). This time my sister surprised me! The person who came with Roseanna was a glimpse from my past. It was a loved friend whom I, and my brothers and sisters, had grown up with. This taste of my childhood was our dear friend, Janice Fantastia. At this time together, my sister, Roseanna, my old friend, Janice and myself, beheld the past, passionately lived this present time and imagined marvelous, future times with one another as well as with other family and friends. I love spending time with people, especially loved ones, more than absolutely anything! Today I've been presented with this new day! I’ve been given a chance to start over and make things right. The problem is that I have no clue if the world will ever be okay for me, for those I love and for anyone. This morning I'm praying to You, Lord for help, for peace, for comfort, for stability, for love, for good health and for, well, Lord, the list goes on! I pray to You, God, that things to be okay in this world and for all of humankind. I love and cherish my family, my friends and my church! Please protect them, Lord! Please Lord, can you make this world a stable, safe, peaceful, just, and free place for everyone? I would so appreciate this and will be forever grateful! I live with lung disease, congestive heart failure and several other medical issues. I love life, my family, my friends, my church and the world I live in. I appreciate good times with my family, great and zany times with friends, joyful times of worship in the church I attend and my quiet times of solitude with my God. I have my good and bad days but, I try to remain positive and calm and find strength in my faith in God. I know God has plans for me. I  totally enjoyed the visit that Lydia, and her companion, Crystal, made to us at the VNA Assisted Living on Alewife Brook Parkway in Somerville, Mass. We enjoyed an anxiety free and stress free time as I, and my friends, other residents at the assisted living, as Lydia engaged in playful activity with us. As I petted Lydia, comfort and calmness traveled throughout my mind and body. Thank you for visiting us, Lydia! Please come again soon. This is a poem by my dear friend, Larry Eisenberg. Larry is a world renowned physicist and an expert on nearly every subject. Larry's intelligence and wisdom wows me and he just puts my mind through the roof. Saddened by the state of today's government, it has been more than scary for those of us who live on and need Medicare and Medicaid. I assume this is what Larry was thinking about when he wrote this poem. As I read Larry's poem and realize what our government has become, I have absolutely become a disillusioned citizen of this United States.
