A PINTO FAMILY GATHERING

Image
When my family, the Pinto Family, throw a party it’s one hell of a get-together! This is what happened when we came together to celebrate my Aunt Peggy’s 80 th Birthday. My cousins, Jimmy, Billy, David, Debbie, and with the help of other close members, sponsored this 80 th Birthday Party for their mother. This was a special party which emphasized togetherness. The room was decorated with old pictures where my Aunt Peggy stood out in these photos. There were balloons everywhere and a plentiful abundance of flavorsome Italian food + scrumptious desserts. There was also plenty of family, our family! I ate with, talked with and visited with my family, some of whom I had not seen in many, many years. Yes, this was a special festivity, a gathering of the Pintos, where we revived old memories and created a path for future reminiscences.             Evelyn Pinto             June 23, 2019

WHY PEOPLE GO 6-17-19

Image
It’s essential in life that a person feel wanted, needed, loved, and have a purpose. This could happen when a person does not feel needed, loved, wanted or have a purpose. People will go where they do feel needed, wanted, loved and have a purpose!                    Evelyn Pinto                    June 17, 2019 _

MY FATHER 6-14-19

Image
Next Sunday is Father's Day!  I can't help but think of all the times I spent with my father. What I missed the most about my Dad was his gift of humor.  Through our most difficult and painful times, my father made me and all of us laugh! It’s as if my father saw something good in the really difficult circumstances of our lives.  His laugh was contagious!  He made me laugh so wonderfully that, I swear, I could hear his laughter to this day!  The sounds of my father’s laughter comforts me through all the difficult and painful stuff that my life continually tosses at me. Thanks Dad for all you've given me, especially the gift of humor.  I miss your laugh, Dad. I miss you, Dad! Love, your daughter,              Evelyn (Pinto)              June 14, 2019

A NEW DAY OF "HOPE" 6-8-19

Image
A New Sunrise,            A New Day Of Hope Today is an awesome day! Today, I am going to be discharged from the hospital! Today I am going home! Early this morning I was gazing outside my hospital room window. A mystery of God was placed before my eyes. My friends, I beheld the sunrise this morning. I was a witness to the very opening of today. I observed the commencement of this day of a new hope. The God of Hope is a reason I am here to tell you about me and about “Hope”! EVELYN'S RETURN TO THE HOSPITAL 6-7-19

Image
I'm in the hospital. I was admitted June 5th, the day after I was discharged from the same hospital. The surgeon called me to get to the Emergency Room at the hospital, ASAP. You see, my friends, I was having internal bleeding because if something to do with the Colonoscopy I experienced on Monday. This is what my Pulmonary physician put in my medical chart: "Evelyn survived her Colonoscopy, 7 polyps did not!" Thank you, all, for your prayers, kind words and well wishes! Gracious gratitude to all the hospital staff who continue to treat me with medical expertise, compassion, love, respect and patience. I am sick but, I am also blessed and grateful!
