"OPEN YOUR EYES"! 9-29-2019

I did not vote for Trump in the 2016 Presidential election. I was willing to give him a chance. I have questions though. How can Trump disagree with the countless scientists about Global Warming? How can Trump do nothing but harm when Climate Change is rapidly destroying the Earth, our Home? I can understand the need for Immigration Reform. I totally agree with the urgent necessity for the lowing of medicines, especially lifesaving medications and treatments. I emphatically understand that drastic changes need to be made to the Healthcare System. Trump interest is, and never was, any of these vitally important issues but, in The Wall, the Wall he promised Mexico would pay for. Another lie of Trump’s creation as American taxpayers are paying for this Wall. I loathe it when Trump’s lies, cheats people and I immensely detest his childlike habits of taking credit (even if it’s undeserved) when things go right and blaming others (even if he caused the problems) wh

THE MONARCH BUTTERFLY 9-29-2019

Image
I In the dusk of the evening, my friends and I were sitting on a bench, outside of the building, where we live. We were enjoying the warm weather, as well as each other’s company. And alas, a “Monarch Butterfly” approached, flying very close and landing on the pot of flowers just a few steps away. My friends, seeing this beautiful creature was ecstatically wonderful! I gave thanks to God for the glimpse of the magnificence of this Monarch Butterfly and also the splendor of God’s creation in Nature.               Evelyn Pinto              September 29, 2019

TUFTS UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY DAY 9-22-19

Image
On Sunday, September 22, 2019, my friend Caroline and myself, shared a trip on The Ride and attended Tufts University Annual Community Day. The day was fun, chaotic, interesting, amusing and amazing. The students of Tufts University created an atmosphere of helpful, entertaining and enjoyable stuff to do! I spent a significant amount of time with the firefighters, of the Somerville Fire Department, who are and always have been, a helpful resource to me and to the people in the building (Visiting Nurse Association Assisted/Senior Living in Somerville, Mass.) in which I live. Yes, these firefighters were still of help to me, giving me a place to sit with them for a much needed rest, presenting me with essential advice and helping me to find my friend, Caroline, whom I   managed to get separated from. Yes, these outstanding firefighters give their all and are always the 1 st ones, especially going to building in which I live, in emergencies. The Somerville

YESTERDAY & TODAY 9-16-19

Yesterday and Today Good Day Friends! Did you ever have one of those days? Yesterday seemed like a bad day for many people. It was also a crazy day! Nothing, nothing went the way it should have! People were on edge. Tempers were short. Misinformation was communicated to people who had little choice but to 'go with it'. Things were said to people that they shouldn't have said. Many feelings of people were hurt. Yesterday was yesterday! Today is a brand new day, a day of opportunities, especially to make things right. Learn from yesterday but, then also, just "Forget it! Let it go! I'm going to meet today with smiles, laughter, good words to everyone! I’m also going to express love, all love I can give! Have A Today Everyone! May God bless you all, always!        Evelyn Pinto       September 16, 2019

On August 31 st 2019, my mother turned 90 years young! Friends, we threw a party! My 3 sisters, Roseanna, Roberta, Terry and myself + my brother, Paul were at this momentous occasion. Many of my family, including my nieces, nephews and friends shared with my mother this memorable event! We even had Frank Sinatra (impersonator) sing for us! A miracle occurred, my mother’s 3 sisters were special guests, traveling a vast distance from out of out of town, to be with my mother on her special day. My Aunt Judy, Aunt Evelyn. Aunt Marge and my mother have not been together in over 20 years. My friends, my mother’s Birthday Celebration was totally amazing! My mother was surprised and a bit overwhelmed!
