ME-as I go through this zany, marvelous, difficult experience called: "LIFE"!

I wanted to share with you all "the best joke-Ever!------------------------- Beethoven ------------------------- When Beethoven passed away, he was buried in a churchyard. A couple days later, the town drunk was walking through the cemetery and heard some strange noise coming from the area where Beethoven was buried. Terrified, the drunk ran and got the priest to come and listen to it. The priest bent close to the grave and heard some faint, unrecognizable music coming from the grave. Frightened, the priest ran and got the town magistrate. When the magistrate arrived, he bent his ear to the grave, listened for a moment, and said, "Ah, yes, that's Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, being played backwards." I went on a day retreat, sponsored by the Church Women United, an organization that is more than 70 years old. This organization encompasses women from churches, all over the nation or, possibly, all over the world. The theme of yesterday's retreat was Amazing Grace as this group of woman and myself talked of God's grace in our personal lives. This was a day of sharing between women I'm not really sure about the facts because I've only been to 2 meetings, this last one yesterday (5-28-16) in Falmouth at Cape Cod. My new friend, Carol, (in the pictures) was kind enough to pick me, so I could ride with her to this meeting at Saint Barnabas Church in Falmouth. Carol and I became good friends as we rode for approximately 2 hours each way. Saint Barnabas Church, where the meeting was held, awed me with its beauty. Today is my Father's Birthday! My dad is now in Heaven. He was a good man, a man who made everyone laugh! Dad made me laugh at times when I really didn't think I could but, always did, when my dad told his jokes! My dad could tell jokes which made everyone laugh and always feel glad he was around. My father was a special person to me, to my family and to those who knew him. He was my dad and I presume I inherited the love of laughter, with the gift of making others laugh, from him. I also got my stubbornness from my dad, though my being stubborn grew a lot more in me, as time progressed. Dad, I like to think you looking from Heaven and watching over your family. Much of the time, I want to do things "my way"! Today, I am surrendering my whole life to The One who created me. This morning, I am going to abandon control of my life and present it to God! Dear Friends, I have evidence of God's presence and protection. Yesterday, I was walking with a group of people , around where I live.   I was going backwards up the hills in my wheelchair, like I always do. Suddenly the wheelchair toppled over, throwing me to the sidewalk.  My head hit, hard and loud, smack on the pavement. I was checked out yesterday at the hospital, where I spent all day.   I came home early last night with no serious injury but, bad headaches. I'm so grateful to God to be alive and not seriously injured by that fall, as my head smacked that pavement very hard. God has been not only with me through all of this but, has protected me with His Mighty Armor. God was my Rock, my Guardian and my Protector yesterday.  I am overflowing with love and gratitude. PAINTING CLASS                   These 2 are paintings drawn by  Me, Evelyn I, with others, others who were a bit more artistic than I, eagerly attended Painting Class. Painting is not only a lot of fun for me but, it takes me out of myself! I forget about the troubles of my day and difficulties in my life. For a short while, I'm having fun creating a Renoir, Van Gogh or more realistically, an Evelyn! This is a time to, for a short while, to have fun!                                                                          TIME Time is a weird concept. Sometimes you don’t have enough of it. At the other end of the spectra, there’s too much time. Then there are those, who use their time wisely. There are others, who do not make the best, Of the time they do have. These are the priorities of time used wisely: Time with God Time with family Time with others Time to be alone, with yourself We need to make time for all 4 of these. Many use their time, to complain about what they don’t have, Time, for me, is to be content, on what I do have.
