Ministry, to me, is leading giving someone a reason to hold on! At times, it is sharing a realization of a power that is greater than himself or herself when they desperately need that it! I get really, really offended when people put others in categories, especially when it people accuse others of being lazy and not wanting to work because they receive government funding. Sure, there is fraud in government agencies. The most fraud is NOT with the people who are getting government aid but, with rich, powerful people who find loopholes in these agencies thus cheating our government, while getting million times more than one check. They become very wealthy (o r wealthier) while those receiving government aid, either can't make it or live check to check. There are reasons people rely on funding (NOT handouts) from the government. If you don't know the reason(s) , DO NOT JUDGE ANYONE AS GETTING GOVERNMENT FUNDING-NOT HANDOUTS! On Tuesday,October 21, 2014, Senator Pat Jehlen came to speak in the building where I live. Usually I do not usually write preferences online, especially when it comes to politicians. I do want to say this though: The November elections are so, so important! Senator Jehlen explained how the the questions on this ballot are so, so important to us all! Senator Jehlen explained, also, the meaning of the bottle bill, the gambling bill and other important issues in this Novembe r's election! Each of us have a voice in our government! I've been thinking..... As most of you know, I've been sick, sick quite a lot these days.. I'm still recovering from the last infection that caused me to spend nearly 2 weeks in the hospital. This is the problem people: My mind says “GO!” Go to do this, go visit her, go here, now do this and the list goes on. Me, having a hyper personality, while at the same time, realizing that this had been my life!  Now, my body just sits back, like it's saying, "You've got to be kidding!"                              Evelyn Pinto                             10-15-14

I'm weak but, I am progressing. I was recently discharged from the hospital. My doctor said this infection could have killed me. This nasty infection took a lot out of me, physically. I am very, very weak and awfully tired! Realistically, my belief in the Awesomeness of God, the Promise of Jesus and the Power of Prayer is stronger than ever! Jesus promised that He would never leave me. I have to tell you, He Kept His Promise! Living with chronic life threatening illnesses, I've learned about God and about myself! I have learned to be more grateful to God for His many blessings and to see Him in the ordinary. This ordinary becomes this extraordinary in the face of God, when I see God work in my life! I see God all around me, in the sky as the sun makes way for the night, I see God in a sunrise and I see Him through  His  Masterpiece of Nature., I see God in the prayers of many people. I see God in the love of family and friends. I see God in the special, innocent love of children. I see God in the smiles, laughter of others as I tell jokes. Right now, I see God clearly in the love, concern, treatment and care of the people in this hospital. These wonderful, amazing people have not only saved my life but, continue out of their way to make sure I'm ok, while still fighting this nasty infection. I see God, My Savior who died for me and promised He would never leave me. Want to Know somethin

Sometimes God leaves me on a path. I may not know where.  It may not be where I want to go but, I trust Him, knowing that He will always take care of me. This does NOT mean I'm going to just sit back and be a victim of circumstance. No, not at all! God made me the person I am. As this person, I am still  "His Work In Progress!" I trust God and will always ask My Lord's guidance, protection and safety. I will ask Him  for everything in prayer. You know something? In this tilt-a-whirl of life, I know I'll be ok. I know this because I am in the arms of God! I wish I could have seen the sky last night as the sun went down. I wish I could have seen the sunrise this morning. I wish, today, I could hear the birds sing,, see the  squirrels hide from us humans and feel the wind on my back. I wish I could be outside to see and feel God's Miracle of Nature. I am a grateful to be alive person, who is now a patient  (and has been for 6 days and nights)  in a hospital bed, in a hospital room and in the hospital.
