"My Story" 9-30-18

Image
“My Story” I want to write the story of my life, "My Story"! It's vitally important to me to write this book, the account of my life. In my life's story are the stories of some amazing people who have heartened my soul. I’ve always dreamed, since I was a young child, of writing books and having these books published. It’s important for me to record in "My Story" the stories of some amazing people, who are, or have been, a significant part of my life. These loving human beings left an imprint on my heart and soul. "My Story" will tell these stories of those precious people who not only mean the world to me but, have changed my life. Their stories deserve to be told! My story needs to be told!                       Evelyn Pinto                      September 30, 2018

Image
Evelyn’s Prayers Today, I pray for peace. I pray that every individual would look up into the Heavens and also pray to God for peace. I pray that people would show love to those who are close to them. I pray that every individual would smile, talk and get to know the people who they come in contact with today. Please be kind to one another. Be a friend to someone today!                              Evelyn Pinto                             September 26, 2018

FUN AT THE ABILITIES EXPO 9-22-18

Image
It was the 1 st day of the Fall season. It was a warm day with a cool breeze. The Abilities Expo was in Boston, at the Boston Convention Center. Though I usually go alone to the Abilities Expo every year, 2 friends accompanied me this year. The Convention Center was bursting with vendors displaying different varieties of devices, making it easier to live with our disabilities. There were also new styles of wheelchairs that did everything you can imagine. Some wheelchairs even had WIFI! There were also booths of service to people with disabilities. These booths, including Easter Seals, gave so much to people with disabilities! Easter Seals, and programs like it, not only helped my quality of Life (and the quality of life of many others with disabilities) they gave myself, and others, our life back!                  Evelyn Pinto                 September 22, 2018

I'M A PEDESTRIAN, I WALK WITH GOD

Image
I prayed with a few, good, trusted friends today. Physically, I still feel severe physical and emotional pain. After we prayed, I felt this peace come over me, the peace of God! I have faith that whatever happens to me and whatever trials I go through, the peace of God (which is beyond all human understanding) will embrace me. I may journey through trials of sickness, pain and experience many difficulties. I don't have to go it alone! Jesus walks with me while giving me the strength and courage to go through these trials. My life may be a mess. I may be torn and scattered. Confused, I may go in several, different directions at once. I may be experiencing sickness, pain and sorrow. My body will probably never be physically healthy. But, my friends, I have this God-given peace that I will be okay, regardless of what life tosses at me. I never have to walk alone. Jesus, my Savior, Comforter and Companion walks with me and fights for me! I wa

WHEN THE ORDINARY BECOMES EXTRAORDINARY 9-15-18

Today was “Mother-Daughter Day” for my mother and I. I did like I do on most Saturdays. On this humid September day, I journeyed to my mother’s home. I left my apartment to spend time with my mom. My mother is 89 years old. She is a strong, courageous,Chrisitan women  of faith. My mom inspires me with her undying faith! Both of us were in tears as we watched mush-gushy movies on the Hallmark Channel. My mother cooked a gourmet meal for us! We both feasted on a homemade meal of spaghetti and sausage in a delicious Italian sauce We later enjoyed coffee with homemade banana nut muffins (which I brought). We, my mother and myself, enjoyed an ordinary time together. It was precious time spent with my mother which made the ordinary “extraordinary”!               Evelyn Pinto              September 15, 2018

SPENDING TIME WITH OTHERS 9-13-18

Image
God only gives us all a short time on this Earth! With this time, I believe, God gives us these 2 commands: The commands are to love God and to love others! Loving God is to love Him with all your mind, body and soul. The second command God given command is to love others. Loving others are not just words but actions. Maybe you can go out to others, especially to the lost and forgotten. There are many who people in this world who are lost, forgotten, misplaced and warehoused. These people need others, especially to spend time with them and to listen. Have you ever been to places like a hospital, a nursing home, an assisted living, a group home or even a children's hospital? I have and have and know that people are needed, people who will make friendly contact with people who live in these places that are so difficult to be in. Many people need others who will give their time. The time is "now" for anyone who will take time out of a busy life and

Today was an extraordinary for me! The young children whom I minister to, journeyed to see me this morning! It was so nice to see these precious, delightful young people. These children, whose open minds spoke of wonder and innocence, filled ‘til overflow my apartment. I cannot wait to exclaim to these young humans not only the love I have for them but, the unfailing and enormous love that God has for them! These young humans possess a lifelong residency in my heart! Yes, today was special for myself and for the children! It’s going to be an amazing year! With sincerity and love,            Evelyn Pinto           September 8, 2018
