"THE SHEPHERD CARES FOR HIS SHEEP" 12-29-16

Image
When Life gets complicated, I attempt to simplify the complicated.. Every morning I ask Jesus to be with me through the day.. If I do goof up today (and I do goof up a lot) I ask God to exercise His damage control and help me fix the goof-ups. If I find myself going down the wrong path, I ask Jesus to redirect me on the right road. "The Shepherd Cares For His Sheep!"                  Evelyn Pinto                 December 29, 2016

SPECIAL MOMENTS WITH LUCIA 12-26-16

Image
My young friend, Lucia, came to visit me for Christmas. She arrived at my door with her mother and infant sister, Teresa It was simply awesome to spend time with my rambunctious, young child and her mother and her mother and baby sister. I am never more comfortable then when I'm around children. It's a joyful Christmas! I'm living a life of devotion to God! I’m also having special moments with a marvelous child. Who could ask for anything else? Love, peace and prayers,                    Evelyn Pinto                   December 26, 2016

Merry, happy, joyful Christmas to my family and friends. To my family I don't hardly see, there is still a chance to kindle a relationship with me and with other family members that miss you. OUTSIDE FEELINGS 12-22-16

Image
Being it the Winter season with the cold tagging along, I'm reluctant to go outside.  I go out into this cold, usually, only when I have to. Last night was differently peculiar. I longed, with all my heart,  wanted to go out. I wanted to smell, taste and be in the outside air. What I saw was simply amazing! The sun had just gone down. The sky was painted with this wonderful, pinkish blue sky. The trees were bare and stood somewhat alone against the early evening sky. The air outside felt crisp and refreshingly cold. It was a marvelous feeling!  It was a stunning and simply amazing evening! Last night was revealed a miracle and blessing from God! May God Bless You All!                      Evelyn Pinto                     December 22, 2016                   Photos taken by Evelyn Pinto                         December 21, 2016

THE BIGGER THINGS IN LIFE 12-21-16

Image
As I get older (and I hope wiser) I'm realizing how important the little things in Life are. These little things in life have gotten more important, now as I embark into a new stage of my Life. My family has become more important than ever to me. I want that view I saw tonight of the wondrous night sky, so visible to me, to be in my head forever. That 'I love you' coming from my sister's mouth touches me. I want to always remember that! 'I love you' springing out of the mouths of the people whom I love and can't imagine my life without them, has become vital to me as I get (a teeny bit) older. These I love you" sounds are much, much, more than words to me but, are also the most wondrous sounds. God loving me, a sinner, so much that He sent His Son, so I might have a chance, is the greatest love I or anyone, can ever receive. Praise Be To God! Love, peace and prayers,                          Evelyn Pinto

MY APT: "A CREATIVE CHAOS" 12-13-16

Image
It is almost Christmas! Living on modest, even frugal, means, I try to write out Christmas cards, send letters and make presents from what I have. I create from what is already in my apartment, my home. I spend special moments, hours, days and sleepless nights, doing what I love to do, making someone else smile, with a homemade card, gift or a personal letter of how much I love and appreciate them. Even if for just a moment, I would love for a person to be happy and smile. I love to go shopping for my family, friends and many others who mean so much to me. Due to a shortage of finances, which many of us know too well, I create my presents, whether they be letters, wrapped fancy in ribbons, homemade gifts and cards with a unique flavor. I would love to express, at this special season of Christmas, a personalized gift, that would relay to them how much I love those special people in my life!  I would like my cards and present to relay how those people in my life mean the wo

BALLROOM DANCING 12-09-16

Image
Ballroom Dancing With Michael We are having Ballroom dancing lessons at the assisted living where I live today. Ballroom dancing is, and always was, a part of me. I love dancing with Michael, as he gently glides me through ballroom dance moves, on the floor of our community room. I, and my fellow residents, at the assisted living, look forward, with great anticipation, to our monthly ballroom dance lesson. This activity gives us the freedom to break our bonds with mobility and get up and dance as we challenge gravity. Michael, our Ballroom dance instructor, is patient with us, as he not only instructs us, but takes us up and helps us though dancing, learn different ballroom dance techniques. Michael, a kind and compassionate instructor, knows all our names, which impresses me a great deal. Michael, takes my hand, as I hold onto him for support, and we glide through the dance floor. I, having mobility issues, like most of us who come to Ball

CHRISTMAS, A TIME OF GREAT LOVE 11-27-16

Image
On a happier note, it is almost Christmas time! I decorated inside and outside my apartment. I get so, so excited through the Christmas season! Christmas,  a festive time of celebrating the birth of Jesus, our Savior! Please be kind in this season of Great Love> Could we all remember, as we celebrate,  the true meaning of Christmas? Love, peace and hope,                        Evelyn Pinto                       November 27, 2016

SIGNS OF STRENGTH 11-25-16

Image
I have heard people around me boast of how strong they are because they don't need a mobility device. At the same time, I hear people in pain who would rather be in pain than take something to manage their pain. The validity of the 1st statement is definitely questionable.  Most of the people I know who, for various reasons, need a mobility device and use it, despite society's stigmas, are the strongest people I've ever met. In the same regard, people who live a long, long time in chronic pain and have the common sense to take a prescribed treatment that would alleviate some of the pain do this so they can live as normally as possible amongst family and friends without some of that pain. It's the degree and the duration of the pain that make a case for the person in chronic pain. I use mobility devices and suffer debilitating pain, and have for some time. I know I am a strong person and I definitely know the strength and courage my friends possess.

THE KINDNESS REVOLUTION, BE A PART OF IT! 11-17-16

A positive attitude in the midst of adversity can make you content, grateful and dan even bring about a better outlook on life! If I can emphasize anything, it would be to be kind to everyone-Always! The people who are the most difficult to be kind to, give them an extra dose of love and kindness. These people need it the most! Words and actions can, more times than not, be chain reactions. When you smile at someone, it can be contagious! Most of the time  that smile will travel to others and the recipient of a smile will smile at others. When you sacrifice by, for example, give your place in line to someone else, they may l reciprocate by doing good for someone else. If everyone does acts of kindness for their neighbors, as well as for strangers, we can make the world a great place to live in! We don't have special glasses to see the invisible battles another person is fighting. This is why it is so important to be kind to all people , Always! Please, each of
