DIVISION IN THE USA 5-31-18

Image
I have followed the Trump presidency and I’m shocked that he is benefiting financially by in the office of the presidency. I am appalled that every one of his campaign promises have come back to bite us. To say the least, there is little to no truth in what he says and what he does. The Trump presidency has divided this country, our communities and our families. By putting a tariff on steel and aluminum from our allies, our homemade products like appliances, cans of soda and cars will cost us much, much more thanks to President Donald Trump. Since this Trump Presidency have been in place, bad behavior, prejudice, hate speech and a lack of morals and conscience has become accepted and common place in America. This Presidency has continually tried to stop the Mueller investigation. “Why”? I ask myself this. If Trump was innocent, he would not fear the outcome of the Mueller’s Russia investigation. Why aren’t our elected officials doing anything to protect the citi

MEMORIES OF MY FATHER 5-27-18

Thinking About My Father Dear Dad, Every time I tell a joke, it reminds of the many times you told jokes that made everyone, especially me, laugh. Every time I look at baseball, it reminds me of your love for the game. I remember our times together which consisted of watching Baseball games, especially The Boston Red Sox. Oh, how you loved The Red Sox. You and I together, Dad, watching baseball, well, that was” Our Time”! Looking back, Dad, I wish we had those times today! Dad, I need to hear your jokes again, watch baseball with you again and hear more of your advice. Dad, I need to talk to you again. Where you were in my life is now a void, an empty space in my heart that you left when you died. I draw back on my memories of you with sadness but, also with fondness and with gratitude to God that He gave you to us for a short time. Dad, I miss you so, but I draw comfort in knowing God’s taking great care of you! I wish you here, Dad, with me today!

I WRITE, I HAVE WINGS 5-27-18

Image
I feel free when I write! It’s as if I have wings, as I form words together into sentences. Writing is a way of expressing how I feel. I also communicate more effectively with others when I write! When I’m writing, I'm using the gift God gave me! Thus, as I tell, with my scripts, of how God has changed my life, I become a witness of God’s Love and Presence in my Life and in the world. As I write, I am a witness to God in my life, bringing honor, praise and thanksgiving to His Name. God makes all things possible! OSCAR GREENE, 100 YEARS OLD!

Image
Happy Birthday Oscar! Happy 100 Years Old! My friend Oscar is turning 100 years old on May 28, 2018. That’s 100 years old, my dear friends! I was at a luncheon to honor Oscar and his devotion, accomplishments and all he’s done for us, residents of the VNA Assisted Living Residences. This luncheon was at one of the VNA Assisted Living Residences, a place Oscar and myself call “Home”! Oscar has seen much history in the 100 years that he has been alive. Oscar has fought in World War 2 and other wars, has witnessed the Civil Rights Movement, presidents come and go and so, so much more! This man, my dear friend, among other things, is a walking History book! Oscar is also a renowned author, writing for The Boston Globe, Guideposts and other prominent publications. Oscar is also my friend, my wonderful, buoyant friend! I’m fortunate and blessed to have in my life! Happy 100 th Birthday Oscar! Let’s cheer on the next 100 years, Oscar!

A PERSON OF MAGIC AND WONDER: MY MOTHER 5-12-18

Image
My Mother By Evelyn Pinto When I think of my mother, I, at times, recall my childhood. As a young child, I was convinced of this: my mother knew "everything"! Somehow, my mother knew where I was and what I was doing. Like other children, I came to the conclusion that she had eyes in back of her head! My mother was magical and infallible! My mother is now in her senior years. With age we are both realizing a loss of control over some matters in our lives. We don’t have the good health, vigor or stamina that came with being younger. I’ve have to tell you though, my mother is still magical! She still senses the times when her children are in need. She still somehow knows when something is terribly wrong or has miraculously gone right! My mother a person of love and wonder! Though our lives have changed with years, my mother is still there for me, as well as for her other children. The change is that we, as her older adult children, are now

THE MAGICAL MORNING SKY 5-4-28

Image
These photos show what I saw, gazing at the sky this morning. This sight in the sky mesmerized me, as I continued to look and really see with my minds eyes, the magnificence displayed in the morning sky. I was a witness, this morning to God's Miracles, one being this "Magical Morning Sky!" Like this portion of The Majesty of God, His wonders are all around us. When we see with the eyes of innocence in a child, we participate in impossibilities becoming possible. As I walk toward the door, I taste, smell and feel the rain as it sprinkles my shoulders! God Is Good All The Time! Love and prayers,                     Evelyn Pinto                    May 4, 2018
