HALLOWEEN 2O2O, DURING A PANDEMIC 10-30-2020

Halloween, 2020, During A Pandemic  It’s October 30 th , the day before Halloween. I, myself, not a great fan of Halloween, decided to get dressed for the occasion anyway. You see, the Activity Director, Lin, and our intern, Brittany, were having a safe distanced chanted Halloween event in our Activity Room. I decided to celebrate the occasion by using whatever I had in my closet and in various other places in my apt, and make a costume. My friends, these photos showed what I looked like. Due to this current Coronavirus currently plaguing my city, our country and the world, I wore a mask to cover my mouth and nose, in addition to my Halloween mask. Thank you to our Activities Director, Lin, and our intern, Brittany, for not only creating and sponsoring this scary Halloween Event, especially in these difficult and frightening times. Lin and Brittany not only give inspiration to the people here, where I live, they both inspired, and continue to inspire me! Evelyn Pint...

A Birthday Party A Cherished Time With Loving Friends Yesterday, October 26 th , was my birthday. Living through several months in a Pandemic, residing in an assisted living, where all of us have serious medical conditions, and seeing the craziness in the world today, my dear friends, Donna and Johanne, threw me a surprise Birthday party! My family and friends, whom I love and support, have also been supportive and loving to me. Friends and family have generously given me gifts and countless Birthday cards. The surprise Birthday party, that Donna and Johanne planned and executed, was totally unexpected. The Birthday party included deep chocolate cake, Ice Cream, an assortment of chips, cheese, soda, candy and other sweets, flowers, presents and an enormous amount of Love. It was an extraordinary time with loving, cherished friends! Thank you, Donna and Joh...

PEOPLE NEED HELP, NOT INSULTS 10-20-2020

Image
I  saw a post where people who welfare were insulting to people were insulted and called lazy. It sickened me! People are sick. People get sick. Children get sick. Sometimes one salary cannot pay all the bills. And now with Covid-19 people are in real, honest to goodness need. Do not ever insult or talk down on people who collect Welfare because they are in need of help. Do not insult them, "ever"! People are, and have been, going through difficult times. People do not have to throw insult are their brother or sister of Humankind. You may, someday, be in need of help yourself! Instead of insulting people, try kindness, love, humility, concern for others and charity. Love and prayers, Evelyn Pinto October 20, 2020
