ME-as I go through this zany, marvelous, difficult experience called: "LIFE"!

        Mother  A Blessed and Wonderful Birthday, Mother.                                           Gloria Pinto When I think of my mother, I can’t help but go back with her to my childhood. At that time I was convinced of this: my mother knew "everything"! During my early childhood, I wondered if my mother had eyes in the back of her head? My mother was magical and infallible! My mother is now in her senior years. With age, we are both realizing a loss of control over some matters in our lives. We don’t have the good health, vigor or stamina that is associated with youth. I’ve have to tell you though, my mother continues to be magical! She still senses the times when her children are in need. She somehow knows when something is terribly wrong or has miraculously gone right! My mother a person of love and wonder and class! Thou...

I left the state of sleep earlier than usual and avidly traveled to the realm of consciousness. It was a weird time of the morning, still dark, when I, still sleepy, stumbled outside. It was a strange but, wonderful feeling that arose in me. This was when I became an active participant at a time when night surrendered to day. It felt miraculous as I watched light emerge from the darkness. I gazed upward and, in prayer, and gave thanks for becoming a witness to a Miracle from God! My friend, Eleanor Cusack had a birthday today! Eleanor is, today, 92 years young! Eleanor’s family gave her a grand Birthday Party! Family and friends were here to celebrate with Eleanor! It was a joyous, fun time, a memorable time! There was cake, ice cream, sandwiches and all sorts of food and beverages! Yes, to my grand delight, there was even “Bubbles”! Thank you to Eleanor’s family and Joan, for bringing family and friends together and for, also, providing everything  (even “Bubbles”) to ensure that a marvelous time was had by all! I walked through the courtyard yesterday, which stands in the middle of the building where I live at. Gazing into the pond, my eyes fixated on this beautiful flower, different from the previous water lilies I had previously captured with my camera. This flower, a beautiful water lily, sent by God, stood straight up, as if exclaiming to the world: I’m here, I’m strong and I'm marvelously wonderful!! Today I've been presented with this new day! I’ve been given a chance to start over and make things right. The problem is that I have no clue if the world will ever be okay for me, for those I love and for anyone. This morning I'm praying to You, Lord for help, for peace, for comfort, for stability, for love, for good health and for, well, Lord, the list goes on! I pray to You, God, that things to be okay in this world and for akk of humankind. I love and cherish my family, my friends and my church! Please protect them, Lord! Please Lord, can you make this world a stable, safe, peaceful, just, and free place for everyone? I would so appreciate this and will be forever grateful! Love,                           Evelyn
