DEAR PRESIDENT ELECT BIDEN AND VICE PRESIDENT ELECT HARRIS, 11-8-2020
Dear President elect Biden and Vice
President elect Harris,
First, I would like to congratulate
you both for winning this long and wearisome election.
Thank you both for working
diligently, with the people of your campaign, to win and become our next president
and vice president!
I live in an assisted living in Mass.
I am 65 years young.
My hopes are that you can unify our
divisive and crying country.
I have wept when black men have been
killed by the police.
I know the police wear many hats. Perhaps
more training as well as mental health professionals accompanying them on
calls, that involve people in emotional distress, may be one answer.
I have mourned when my friends have
died, many from this Coronavirus.
My heart has torn when families don’t
have the needed finances to pay their rent, buy food and pay other necessary bills.
I have cried hearing of children
going hungry.
I, myself get seriously ill and
require the acute setting of the hospital frequently.
I definitely know the necessity of
affordable and accessible healthcare.
My friends, if I may call you both
friends, my hopes are that you both unify our hurting country.
We would all be grateful if the
Coronavirus was under control, so I, and all of us, can go back to a world that
reflects normal.
My dream is that you both, and our
elected officials, can fix some of the issues that have brought so much pain to
many of us.
Thank you! With sincerity, love, hope
and prayers,
Evelyn Pinto
