CHILDREN, AUGUST 2014

Children, have a way of putting a smile on my face and joy in my heart. They don't have to be just grandchildren. They can be nieces, nephews, sons and daughters of nieces, nephews, cousins, etc... --Children have a way of making me feel young and forget about the adult problems. Adulthood is so overrated!

I TOTALLY ENJOY BEING OUTSIDE! 8-31-14

GOD DOES IT ALL! 8-27-14

I've been sick a lot these days. Life, lately, has given me tough times to endure, sleepless nights to ponder and a loving God help me. God helps me navigate through really difficult circumstances in my life while giving me the strength, courage, wisdom and a lot of times, impatience to overcome all these obstacles that life has thrown at me! God Does It All! Thank you, everyone, for all your prayers, kind words and good wishes. Love and prayers,                                                                                            ...

THE BEST IN PEOPLE 8-27-14

Image
The hospital is not really the place to be unless you're that sick and you need the acute care of the hospital setting. This happens to me way too much, being the patient in the hospital bed, in the hospital room! It's not the place to be! It is the place you find The Best and The Worse in people! I found The Best that people could be in my doctors (my attending doctor was just outstanding) , the nurses, primary care assistants, respiratory therapists and every person who worked closely with me so I could go home. I got discharged and arrived home last night!                                                                          Evelyn Pinto My nurse, Allison and Myself. Allison had an amazing attitude toward me, her patients, her occupation and life! I wish I had a picture with Tugh (Tw...

AUTHORITY FIGURES 8-26-14

Authority: My Authority is no question-God! It's other authority figures in my life that I have trouble with!!! A friend asked me once: "Do you have a problem with authority?" My answer was: "Defiantly so!" My 1st authorities in my life were my mother and father. Those 2, the most wonderful people you could imagine, took great care of me, They raised me to survive and be grateful in what has turned into an unfair but, beautiful world! Authority figures: Some authority figures, I respect them as well as their position in my life! Some I don't for these reasons (1) Lies (2) Misuse of their authority position (3) Abuse of their authority (4) This kind of authority person who seems to think they are better than the people they have authority over! These last three should NOT be in ANY kind of authority over ANYONE!                             ...

PRAYING IN THE HOSPITAL CHAPEL 8-26-14

After several rough days and even more sick and sleepless nights, last night I felt a continued calm that I had been praying for  so long! I also got the chance to reveal the kind heart and glory of God to someone, my nurse. We were at the hospital chapel, (I had asked to go there previously). She, my nurse asked "How do I pray?" "I don't know how!" My reply was: Speak to God with your heart!"" "God understands your heart!" We both prayed and returned to the hospital medical unit. We arrived at the  medical floor, calmer and at peace! Prayers Do Work! Glory To God In The Highest!                                                       Evelyn Pinto                                                      August...

INPATIENT AT THE HOSPITAL 8-24-14

I am in the hospital for observation. I have bronchitis and my white blood count is too high so, I am inpatient in the hospital I go for my medical care. I feel sick, really tired and just feeling misplaced! To make matters worse (health wise). I caught a flu like something that's going around. This, to make my health matters worse, aggravates my lung condi tion! I do have to thank my family, especially, my mother (who supports me in so very many ways), my sister, Bobbie (who has been there for me as well as being my major support) and niece, Anita (who, as well as being my sister in Christ and there for me, went with my mother to the hospital today) for continually being there for me!                                    Evelyn Pinto                                 August 8, 2014

COLLEGE LIFE: AN OPEN DOOR TO THE WORLD

Image
Emmanuel College! It was so, so long ago! It seems like a different lifetime! I learned so much in my college years! Much of what I learned in college was NOT on the school's curriculum.  I learned how I could miss my family,my home (I lived in the dorms) and my life before college! I also learned there was life outside of what I knew and was used to. When I attended Emmanuel College, I became close friends with people from all different backgrounds, even different countries and also became friends with people who had different customs than what I've seen! College Opened My Eyes To The World!!! THIS PICTURE  WAS TAKEN OF ME AT 33 DUNSTER ST. Tufts University students dispersed around Somerville, in several groups, orientating new freshman to the city where they are now going to school Most of them will also be living in the area! The Somerville Sunsetters 8-2014

Image
I saw The Sunsetters perform! These are young people (up to high school age) who perform by singing and dancing at events in Somerville, Mass. In some cases the Somerville Sunsetters are the event!. They are professional and the group is professionally run by Jimmy D. (I said D because I don't want to misspell, and probably would have, Jimmy's last name) This group of young people are memorizing and have a lot of SPUNK! I, and everyone else in the audience, enjoyed listening to them and loved their dance moves!                                                                                ...

Hospital Day, Going To One Of The Large Hospitals In Boston

August 21, 2014  Today Is A Hospital Day! Today I have to go to a large hospital in Boston to undergo 2 procedures. The procedures I have to go through are an Esophageal Manometry and Impedance-PH Monitoring Study. I don't fully understand fully how these procedures are going to be done, Knowing myself, if I did know, I would be too scared to get these needed procedures done and over with. Many times the scenarios we have in our heads are worse than what really happens (or will happen)!                                                                                                             Evelyn Pinto
