WHEN DO THE SIDE EFFECTS OF TREATMENT OUTWEIGH THE BENEFITS? 11-19-15

When do the side effects of prescribed medications and treatments for medical and psychiatric problems outweigh the benefits?  
This issue with medications happens a lot,  In  my case and with many other people. At times .the side effects greatly outweigh the benefits of the treatment.
The side effects the treatment can be a lot worse than the problem!
Be informed!
Discuss with your medical team the problems and side effects of the treatment.
If you have any troublesome side effects, discuss them with your medical team.
Be your own advocate!
Depending on the seriousness of the side effects, perhaps another medication, or no medication at all, could be better than the side effects.
I'm going to prepare to have a long discussions with my doctors!
