MEDICINE: AN EDUCATED GUESS 1-28-15
MEDICINE: An Educated Guess! The more specialized the doctor is, the more educated the guess is .
The patient is in trouble when the doctor is under the delusion that he knows everything about the problem causing the patient’s sickness.
The patient is in even more trouble when the doctor is convinced that he knows more about the patient, than the patient does about himself or herself!..
Don't Walk - RUN away from a doctor who knows EVERYTHING! That's a dangerous person because as we all know that no one but, God knows ALL the answers.
The doctor is delusional, narcissistic or something. In other words, he has problems. Coming into medicine with a problem, we certainly don't need the doctor's.
Oh we, patients when dealing with many doctors, need more than medicine –We need prayers. This is especially true when at the mercy of some doctors (especially emergency room doctors) who push for the quickest and strongest treatment to cure the illness. This cure may be risky. At times the treatment is worse than the disease.
We patients have to be so careful and hold our trust in our pockets for doctors who know us who we have formed a good doctor – patient - relationship with.
Emergency room medicine,- I would suggest ONLY in an emergency, for the treatments are fast, strong and the doctors who are used to saving lives. Even if your medical problem is not a life or death matter, they may want to save your life anyway .The treatments could (I'm not saying would) cause eventual harm and might even lead to an inpatient hospitalization.
My friends, stick with doctors who don't know everything, who are honest, who don't know all the answers. Avoid doctors who are off to cure the world..
We patients have to use our judgment and gut feeling to find a doctor who would be suited for our individual physical and emotional needs.
I would devote time and trust and to a honest, experienced, compassionate, capable, competent, caring doctor. These particular doctors are still around.
Shop with care for a doctor, who’s personality suits your own personality.
A sense of humor helps too. Laughter can relieve stress for the doctor as well as the patient!.
Prayers Helps A Lot!

*These are only my op ions & observations. My current education is the education of observing doctors, very closely, and getting to know them from the other side of the health care spectrum.
